In terms of their reputations for protecting privacy, among tech behemoths like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and most of all Meta, Apple is the clear winner, at least in terms of public perception. It\u2019s fought hard, and for a long time, to be seen that way. With that in mind, a new report from Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman says there\u2019s been some turmoil within Apple lately because its luster as the anointed privacy leader in Big Tech could be tarnished somewhat when it rolls out a new product in a category now commonly referred to online as \u201cpervert glasses.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gurman\u2019s story comes, as usual, from anonymous sources, but the crux is this: Apple\u2019s long rumored glasses product, supposedly code-named \u201cN50\u201d was apparently on track for an introduction this year, and a rollout in early 2027, but the glasses are now, Gurman says, going to be released in late 2027 because Apple is still crafting its \u201cprivacy message.\u201d<\/p>\n
